I made this image in La Jolla CA.

I did not get chance to photograph flowers much last year. I was in La Jolla CA to do birding and Bird Photography. When I saw these wild flowers, I was super excited.
I wish I could have spent more time with photographing these flowers.

Krishna you make me think of warmer weather and the arrival of spring, I too want to get out and do some flower photography!
I like your image, the composition is simple and effective the out of focus stem provides a sense or realism. I think there is a little more detail to be shown in the petals and in the flower head. I am guessing this image is not far off full frame - if so then I would suggest a smaller aperture.
I prepared an alternative for your consideration, I just made a selective luminosity adjustment to the flower -further enhancements may be possible through blending.

I like the framing and the soft light. Jonathan brang put some nice detail in those white petals.

Krishna:

Soft background with gradual fade from green to blue very nice. Like the comp. I do agree with Jon about teasing a bit more detail out of the flower.

Cheers

Superb. I love the BIRDS AS ART background... I like both versions with a nod to the OP.
