Up on the Yorkshire Moors with some nice low level winter light. Usual story - dim light as you drive around photographing the birds so you decide to leave early to miss the traffic, then out comes the nice sunset for the drive home! Too late by then to turn back round :2eyes2:

Mike:

Soft light, nice head angle, good shooting angle, colour harmony. Well captured.

Really attractive image.. The FG has almost texture to it like a painting and a nice soft bg.
Excellent.

Nice one Mike, I too like all the complimentary colours, precisely why the grouse live there! The grouse is beautifully isolated against the background, colours look good.

Love the earth tones in this one. Nice low angle and framing.

Nice one Mike....Love how the BG colours blend. Good detail on the bird and the colours are spot on...not easy especially when focus is on the head with that white eye ring. Good POV.
