Hi Jonathan,
Lovely to see the adult and juvenile? (on the right). I like the composition, however, the birds seem a tad soft to me and I'd add a little more contrast as the image seems a little flat. A small nitpic: I'd clone out the thin whitish streak that goes from the bird's head to the left which I find a little distracting. TFS

Nice to see the adult and youngster together, but the image doesn't connect with viewers because neither bird is engaged with you. Your exposure looks good, but the colors are pretty washed out and the birds lack fine detail.
I think dialing down on one bird and waiting for the perfect pose would have yielded a stronger image.

Man, long legs on these birds. Detail looks quite nice.

I like the juvi and the adult in one frame, agree the IQ isn't good, both are soft and lacking in details. Looks like it was heat shimmers maybe...

I suspect it was the heat, maybe that is why a number of my shots don't appear to be as sharp as I might have expected. It was about 35 deg C.
