Perhaps the most aptly named bird in history!
I suspect this free-flying subject may once have been captive as suggested by the green string on his right leg. He behaved naturally
in this instance, and no bait or lure was used.
No matter how much I whistled at him, he wouldn't give me more head turn than shown. Still thought the frame usable though.
Sun had set behind the ridge behind me, so I was happy to squeeze out a decent early-evening, flat-light result.
Canon 600mm f/4 IS II on EOS 1DX2
1/200 at f/8, ISO 2000, tripod (was pretty close so I wanted max DOF across the bird, even against dwindling light)
Processed in LR CC without trickery. Did remove a few small bright spots on rock
