From San Antonio, NM in November. I know some of you didn't like the corrugated siding BG in an earlier post, so you probably won't like it here either. (I like it.)

D500, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm; ISO 800, 1/2500s @ f/7.1 manual.

Nice pose on these quail. Like the perch as well and the framing. The background i don't mind. It's hard to tell what it is exactly.

Wow, no BG could distract from this pair. I love the BG as far as colors. Beautiful details in both. Maybe you already did, but you could try just reducing the contrast on the BG. At any rate, I like it as is. TFS

Great Photo subjects show well. Color of the birds goes right with the background,I wish it were mine TFS.

I am OK with the BG.
The birds look great! Good DOF. Female looks a bit sharper than male so I would sharpen the males head a bit more.
Love the male/female juxtaposition and the look back poses from both of them.
The head plumes really stand out against the BG.
I would love to have this in my files.

Good one Bill. Nice you saw this pair at the right moment. First thing I noticed was the second small plume on the female. Background certainly works well for these beauties.

No issues here with the BG as none of the white stripes take the eye from the birds. 2 very nice poses and a really good result

For me, the symmetry of the poses makes the picture. Ordinarily I am not a fan of backside poses, but this one is great. I agree with others that have posted that the background does not bother me. This is a bird that I have a difficult time getting good exposure on with the white on black.
