Early morning kestrel, one of the images that did it for me.

D850 with 500mm F/4E, 1/3200 at F/7.1, ISO 1250. Colony of lessor kestrels in Spain

I like the landing pose but wish for a better wing spittoon, the image has a heavy cast and looks completely brown on my screen.

Yep, all shades of brown, that's how the world looks in Spain in the golden hour, I think the background was scorched earth so lots of neutrals there. It's this unusual toning which
for me makes it different and special.

Lovely shot Tim! I agree with Arash on the wing position. I too see a heavy color cast to the image, but it could just be the setting as you've mentioned. Personally, the OOF bit of the perch distracts, but not a major issue. Well done!

My first reaction to seeing this image was "wow", so It's easy for me to not be concerned about the colour cast...and I agree that this makes it special too. TFS

Absolutely breathtaking IQ, Tim. Love the split second before landing captured, sharp detail, and great background. Would love to know what time of year and location in Spain.

Looks great. The pano crop works very well. That light is killer.
