Just a very simple portrait, but adding into the mix of Deer posted, albeit this is an antelope :S3:, shot in early afternoon light.

Very nice indeed, the Nyala looks pretty much spot on, the grasses look fine though I would be tempted to lower the luminosity slightly.
(I am undergoing treatment for dry eyes at present so the grasses my appear lighter to me than they do to you).

If I do that Jon to lower the HL's it all starts to get too dark and doesn't reflect the light I feel, but thanks. Sorry to hear about the eyes, hope the Indian dust didn't contribute.

Good evening Steve,

Very nice walking pose from this fully grown Nyala Bull and I love its dark chocolate brown coat. Thoughtfully composed and it's great to see you included a bit of the environment, the species' habitat being savannah woodlands and thickets as seen in the BG here:S3:

Subject is tack sharp with good head angle and I appreciate seeing the V shaped line which runs between the eyes. Good techs and especially DoF. PP impeccable as usual, sharpness and detail all there in good measure:w3

This works for me as presented, I truly enjoyed viewing. Feeling a bit guilty for driving past Nyala without taking a shot, I see them so often I forget they make such beautiful subjects:tinysmile_shy_t:

Looks great. You handled the light very well. This must have been around 200mm? Raised foot is nice and the detail excellent. Very neat looking animal.

Hi Steve -- A simple but a very clean file. Really liked this handsome subject . Excellent details in it and you have handled the light nicely. I think it is well processed as the overall lighter shades in the environment , especially the grass, makes the Nyala's dark coat a standout.

Nice one.

TFS!
