Meet Her Majesty; queen of Crandon Park Gardens in Key Biscayne. She was gracefully swimming in the main pond one afternoon when she came close to the bank for an afternoon snack.
She was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D lens with a Nikkor 1.4 T/C.

focal length @ 420mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/160sec. - f/13 / ISO @ 200 /
exposure comp @ -1.0EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF-C / color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ 0 degrees / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +1 degrees / no speedlight / no tripod /

Comments greatly appreciated...

Hey Buddy. I like your composition very much, also her head angle is very interesting. Only thing I see is that on my monitor it looks like the head is a little burned.

The burned patch is the only flaw in an otherwise majestic image. I love the contrasting textures here.

Yup, great pose and love the detail in the wings. Only issue is that burnt patch on the head.

that hot spot doesnt look too tough to tame. might give it a shot and see what happens. do like the pose and compo. out of curiousity, did you get any landscape portraits of this bird?
