Going through some summer files, and enjoyed spending time with this blackburnian warbler nesting here in Minnesota.

7DII, 1/400, f 6.3, ISO 1200.

Spectacular warbler, for me too big in the frame for a small bird, perhaps a little noise reduction needed as well.

Thanks, I'm did a little more work on another one from the series as he was hopping around in the tree.

nice find Paul, I agree that the bird is too large in the frame. Both are soft and noisy and also show a yellow and green cast. I like the 1st one better it has a cleaner less distracting BG

Hopefully with all the guides you can re do these images and address all the issues, it should be easy

Thanks for the replies...shot a number of images and hopefully some of them will work out.

Here was one more that I was working on, tried to give the bird more room...

183906Again thanks for the replies, been working on the files, running noise reduction on the background then on the bird, doing some detail adjustments on another layer and color adjustments for contrast, and tried to sharpen the eye a bit. Admittedly cloudy and not the greatest shooting conditions; I'll be curious how a different body would handle it, but what I try to do is make sure I'm using the joystick and moving the AF point which is AF surround (9 points) towards the eye.

This again was at ISO 3200 on the 7DII, something I'd expect a 5D IV to handle better, and hopefully the 1DX III.
