Hello Friends,

Here's an image of an angry elephant who had just noticed a hippo in his territory:bg3: Was unable to include the hippo in the frame, he was under the water while I was focusing on the ele and only saw him when I started looking around to see what caused the commotion.

As you can see, POV was not great and light rather harsh. Nevertheless it was worth a try and I was quite happy to get back home with a few frames from this sighting. This is almost FF. Processed in LR and PSCC.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the week, and many thanks to everyone who was so kind to comment on my previous image - much appreciated!

Hi Gabriela, I think you did extremely well under the harsh conditions, lots of bright light, so not blowing the HL's in the water is great. Nice rush of movement with this big old unit crashing through the river. I also like the tonal range in the Bull, with great detail, the shadows really helped add form too. Yes, pulling back a bit more on the zoom so you had better options for cropping would be better, but in the heat of the moment, however it goes back to tracking the subject in frame, as I think you may have had some incling on this guy and what he was planning to do.

Hope to see more, keep up the hard work in PP it's paying off now.

TFS
Steve

Love the detail on this one. The splashing water is great. You handled the light very well. Texture on the elephants looks great as well.

Hi Gabriela -- I liked the expression and the moment. Lighting conditions not ideal but you have done exceedingly well in getting the correct exposure , especially , like Steve said, not blowing the hls in water. Agree with you on shooting angle but that is not an issue here , it is the moment that matters .

Nicely done, TFS !

Wonderful image, so life like. The texture shown in the skin is amazing, I think the shadows helped. Thank you for sharing, Gabriela.
