Cute image, beautifully timed - a really engaging pose, and I like the big eye..
Again I get the impression there is a slight yellow cast. Purely a personal opinion but I am not at all keen on the fuzzy areas, it doesn't look natural to me.

Hi Tim, based on images posted I have to say I'm also with Jon on this. I do like the image, framing (albeit a bit too tight again), POV and detail, however...

Overall it has a nice 'cleaness' and the colour palette is all of a similar nature in tone, but with not much Tonal range and so you have all these nice colours that work together, with an almost equal light overall, but it lacks that variety of shadow, lights & darks to add some depth. Certainly tweaking the WB it starts to move in a direction I guess Jon & I are perhaps used to seeing, but this might be your style so to speak? It's hard to explain because overall is a cracking image, I just think colour might be masking that little bit that is lacking. Personally I like the FG mush, but it could also be that everything is so smooth and lacks a bit of grit to give it some authenticity/reality. Have you applied any NR or smoothing? Is this FF?

I'm hoping Tim that in some exchanges we can understand the processing.

It was taken in late evening in Spain, golden hour hence the warm light. I could tinker and add contrast and make it less warm.
I have an A1 print and it does grow on you.

Whoa look at the ears on this hare. Great view also like the flowers. The pose is very nice as well. The only thing i can nit pick is a little too tight. But very nice overall.

I prefer the original version. I do, however, love both of them. From where I sit, it is a spectacular image. Thee sharp focus on the eyes and the ears and some of the flowers serves to move the viewer's eye around the frame. The big white fuzz in the BKGR is distracting for me. It could use a bit more room especially above (and below :)). Are you posting at 1920 pixels wide???

Nope, these guys take you by surprise, there's no doubt that zooms have their advantages, one of my hare shots I combined two frames form my prime to give a little more room. :bg3:

Very cute pose from this little Hare and I love the flowers, they add so much to the image (... and make me think of Chamomile:S3:). What also grabs me - apart from the enormous ears - is those long whiskers pointing forward:)

To me the second version looks more natural in terms of colour, albeit the whites in the fur appear to have a tiny blue cast, easy fix for you.

Well captured and great timing, looking forward to more. Just looked at your techs again and thinking I must use the D850 more often, it delivers great images...
