This is a Northern Water Snake taken in early am when the water looks falsely green!!! Taken with D300 and my 300mm 2.8. lens. 1/160 at f4.0, -1/3 EV. 0 flash, 420mm. Gitzo tripod.

Wow! love the green water! and the snakes body barely showing under it. I would reduce the noise a bit and clone out a couple of small light spots in the water, but thats it from me. Very nice!

Totally cool! I love the green water and as Dan pointed out the snakes body is barely visible under it. Nice touch.
I agree with the noise reduction. Only on the water.

Good job.

Very nice job on the redo! The green is great! I can see where you removed one of the white spots, but only because I knew where to look. Dan

Great capture, love the colors and that you can see the submerged part of the snake as well. Great job.

Hi Shellie,
The submerged part of the snake is what makes this very nice indeed on top o the lovely water. Maybe a bit of work on the eye to sharpen a bit more but working on the original shouldn't be an issue. Very well seen and captured!

Very nice, Shellie! That water is gorgeous! A little sharpening on the snake's head and eye and you've got a stunning image there!

Jules, I have done some sharpening already???? Maybe I am doing something wrong?? If anyone wants to take a stab at it and post a redo that would be awesome to see, along with how to!! :-)

Let's see if this is any better...I generally don't like to sharpen over an image that's already been sharpened but we'll see how this looks online.

I also ran the image through my Neat Image Noise reduction plug-in while I had it open.

I like your image. The mirror reflection is great and the surreal water takes it to a higher level.
Best,
Howard.
