This is very good.
I like the low POV (you should enter it in the theme- just ask the mods to change the title).
Whites look great, nice light and the raised foot and crab in the bill make for a very nice image.
I really like the way the water creates an elliptical blue area in front of the bird. It creates some nice lines.
I could see a version with the specular highlight removed (the one by the foot) but not a big issue at all.

Great pose, POV. Good light and background. Prey is a plus; specular highlight could go.

Super shot John love the pose and the surroundings, the beach doesn't have to be completely clear of anything other than sand. i would definitely remove the two specular highlights and also lover luminosity on the legs. Beautiful shot well done.

If you took them both out ,I think it would make an excellent image even better.

love the low angle, good details and exposure, if mine I'd get tid of the small dark oof path of seaweed and the specular highlight which are a bit distracing
