I seem to be having a good run lately getting "lifers". This Striped Honeyeater was a little higher in the tree than I'd like...spent quite a while hoping it would land closer to eye height, but it was not to be. I'd also prefer not to have the breast shadows.
7Dii, 100-400@400mm, 1/2500th sec, f5.6, iso400, HH.

Great self critique but you have a wonderfully detailed view of the face/eye. Congrats on the lifer and the image. TFS

Sharp with a good self-critique. And a good job of focusing through the branches. But all in all, it does not, as you would suspect, work for me.

Good looking bird, OK perch. Yes, bummer about those shadows. Sounds like you will have opportunities with these guys - always fun to have an excuse to go back:S3:
