Sweet composition. I like the limited DOF, giving a great BG, and having the OOF FG leading us into the center of the flower. In ideal world improvement, I'd like to have more of the center in focus, but that would probably take multiple points of focus added together with something like Helicon Focus (or lots of work in PS). That may also allow more of the subject petal in focus, since it's just a touch soft. Overall, a lovely image!

The shallow DOF works well here Bill and the turned-in vertical petal makes an interesting composition - well seen and taken!!

Hey Bill, the curved petal is what makes this shot. I like the DOF, and great color combo. Very well done.

Beautiful image. Liked the composition a lot. Like Mike said, the curved petal makes this image special.

Almost perfect as is bill the DOF is right on. Just beautiful. If anything I would crop just a small amount off the bottom, there is a little fall off/dark edge area that doesnt do anything for the image.

I too would opt for a slight bit more dof but it is beautiful just as is. Very nice composition and capture.

Hey Bill,
As you know by now.........usually I like huge DOF........but this is a great example of how to compose a shallow one. Very well seen and executed! I do see what Robert is talking about on the bottom......tiny dark area........a removal .......if you aren't against such a thing........would also work instead of crop.
