My first half decent photo of a Bar-shouldered Dove, taken yesterday...only the second time I've ever seen one. I chose a 10x8 crop due to distractions on the LHS that I didn't want to fix in Photoshop, although I did use some content aware fill in places, selective NR and sharpening. Thanks for looking. Feedback appreciated as always and learned from.

Lovely pose and light Paul. I suspect there is a slight magenta cast because the wing color is normally plain brown.

Really cool BG.
I think a bit of fill flash would have been your friend here.
I cannot comment re: color cast on bird as I have never seen this bird.
Nice to see the feet and have the bird so nicely parallel to the sensor.

What a neat looking dove. Like the pose and the perch. The background looks pretty neat.

What a lovely looking bird and well captured....I seem to see some sort of colour cast as well, but that may well be the filtered light. Nice one.

Thank you all for the feedback. I might go back to the raw file and check the colour cast. Cheers.

Thanks for this excellent photo of a life-bird for me. I love those red feet and that the tail is on our side of the branch :)

YAW (as you would say)...There is a magenta colour cast, but the raw file shows the same...maybe the filtered light as alluded to by William. I did remove it in Photoshop and learned yet another way to do it in the process. Cheers.
