Hi John, technically I think the image is fine, colours exposure and focus look good. The composition is pretty much ..I was going to say symmetrical, well it isn't really, but is close to that (I don't know what the correct term would be). It is well done but It doesn't intrigue me or hold my attention for too long - sorry that is just my personal view.

I like the details of veins with backlighting. Detail and color are great. I like the subject as well.
