While shooting a week ago to check out snail kites, a woody came out of nowhere and flew right by us. I managed 2 images. This one came out in focus. Would have liked more head turn, but this is my 1st one albeit in flight. :D

With the bird flying away from you, it is nice that he had the near-wing raised so that you could see the eye and the face. Pretty good reaction time!

Well done for a grab shot. A head turn toward you would have been better but I would have been happy to get this one.
