When I first saw this individual I was too close to focus on it, and had to back up! It was hiding beneath some vegetation hanging down from a branch that was half exposed in the shallow murky water and did not see it until I was right over it. I did lie down in that water and eventually it came out and gave great views. Here it pose perfectly for portraits in the early morning light. This is the same individual I posted a full-body image of a few days ago...

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/250s., f/9, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, full-frame, some eye work to clean up the reflections.
