Kind of a slow time of year. It seems 90% of the birds I see are ratty looking juveniles. An image taken last May.
I have quite a few White-eyed Vireo images but this has to be one of the better ones. They are quite common in my
area, and when I hear one approaching I can't resist calling it in as you never know what kind of perch and background
you'll end up with. One of the easiest birds in my area to call in with audio as they generally quite curious. I didn't go
back and look at he raw file but I'm pretty sure I removed a couple of OOF branches.

Hi Jack, mesmerizing eye, got lost in twilight zone for a minute while viewing your wonderful image. Love the colors, the perch, the details and BG, well done, keep em coming!

Absolutely gorgeous Jack! Love the eye and the clean BG. Sharpness is outstanding. I think there might be a very slight purple cast to the image as is visible in the grey areas (chest, bill, legs). Should be an easy fix with the eye dropper tool. No other nits from me. Great work!

Is this a better white balance?

I think the repost is too green actually. Something in between the original and the repost would be perfect.

Spectacular! I think the OOF light patch in the background just to the left of the bird is drawing my eye. This shot is fantastic as is, but if mine I would experiment with removing that subliminal distraction. Just fantastic, though! Congrats!

Yeah, that was bugging me a little also. I'm partially color blind so it's a little hard for me to tell if I got it all.

Image quality is really nice. How close were you to the bird ?

Love the eye.

I'm pretty sure it was less than 20ft.

The reposts keep getting better! Since this bird is easily attracted via audio, I would experiment with better perches. This one is not bad, but it is plain. You could find some with moss/lichen/leaves/budding flowers or a combo of all that. Anyhow, awesome image. Pin sharp, great colours, excellent background.

Agree the image keeps improving! This species is a b*itch to get in the open, and the detail in this frame is as good as any WEVI frame I've seen. I'd really love
to have this shot in my collection. The detail is just outstanding. If you can get this guy onto a more interesting perch, it would be even better.
