Here's another view of the Black-tailed Godwit that was kind enough to fly in and land in front of me as I was hunkered down in a patch of seaweed on Flatey Island in early June.

I really like the reflective pose and composition here. Excellent job on the detail and environment.

Godwit looks good but I would clone out the rocks in the water on the LHS.
I like the kelp and the kelp perch. Nice view of the feet!
I think I would selectively increase the exposure of the godwit and seaweed by 1/3 to 1/2 stop.

I really like the pose and habitat. As an alternate crop I would go vertical and get
rid of the OOF BG.

Hello Bill, I'd recognize that seaweed anywhere! I think lightening the foreground would make a wonderful difference. I like the pose and how is feet are positioned atop the rock. Very nice

Thanks for looking. Here's a repost with just a slight brightening of the bird, rock and seaweed. I originally considered taking out the oof rocks on the left, but felt they served as a bit of counterweight to those on the right. For me, it was taking them all out, or none.

I would clone out the out of focus rocks as they are not adding much to the image.

Repost is much better. I hope to photograph this species one day.

Good one, Bill. Like the position of the feet on the edge of that rock, and nice head turn. Prefer the original post, more as it was at the time.
