Snow bunting male on the beach in Iceland one evening. I cropped for the bugs and also the wee bits of shell tat were attached to the bugs. This fellow was so close to me at times I had no shot... His mate was also doing her parental duties and had the same bounty.

Wow...Thousands and thousands of wee beasties....this is really different Ann, and I love it. I'm wondering if you lifted the shadows a wee bit on the bugs!! Lovely detail throughout, with beautiful 'Snow Bunting' feathers.

Will yes I did selectively lift the shadows and forgot to include that...

Gorgeous Ann!! Everything about this is perfect - the HA, the light, the exposure - but the real showstopper is definitely the bugs. Greedy bird :t3

Amazing. How could he cram so many bugs into one beakful? The chick will be well fed tonight. Well seen and captured.

I don't know what's more impressive the amount of bugs in the beak or the fact you managed to capture this great image. Very nice.

I thought your last image was amazing with the Puffin and the Eel Pouts, this is more amazing. I would never have imagined a bird could collect and hold so many bugs. Love it... Maybe you could have used a smaller aperture and pushed the ISO for more depth of field. Thank you for sharing, Ann.

Fascinating image. I've never seen this kind of behavior. Exquisite detail but I do agree that bringing up the shadow a bit might improve the clarity.

Very nice Image. Love the Behavior. I would have selected for a looser crop.
Endless bugs indeed. I wonder how it got all those bugs at a single time ?

This is exceptional, Ann. Fascinating how many and the variety of insects this SNBU can carry in that beak. Nice detail and soft light.

This is really nice Ann. Great image for the theme!
I love the splayed legs of the lower bug against the neck feathers.
Cool image!

Very cool and unique shot Ann. That is a serious ball of bugs. TFS, no nits from me.
