I like the details and opposite wing position. I wish there were no overlap between the birds and might add a tiny bit more room at the right side.

Hi Susan Can also add you probably opened up the shadows with shadow/highlight and made the color under the wings look peculiar

Did not see the exposure compensation but from your settings the image is 1 1/3 under exposed This image needs to be a little over ..... result is the strange color under the wings !!! btw when exposing this over with harsh light the top of head which is white is frequently blown.... best solution photographing in softer light or overcast !!! Not always possible !!!

In the thumbnail you can detect a bit of the halo around the birds. Also wish they were not merging with each other. Terrific sky!

They look like Mr and Mrs. Neat timing Susan to capture these two together and with similar head turns. Thanks for sharing and safe travels tomorrow. We will miss you .

Hi Susan, Agree that a bit of seperation would have helped...................then all sorts of things happen with the wings!
this is a tough one to capture the 2.

Close on the COMP but no cigar. You needed to lift the top bird up about a foot.
