SO QUIET around here! All the waterfowl and shorebirds have departed for the Arctic for the summer, so here's another frame - tighter this time - of the breeding
plumage Pacific Loon that spent an unlikely week in a golf course pong 20 minutes from my exorbitantly price Bay Area apartment.

Gonna have to go to the photo vault for content these next few weeks...

Nice portrait of this loon. The golf course made for some nice green water. The head angle is perfect. Nice and sharp.

Well exposed, composed and processed. Excellent shooting angle as well. The loons that I work are on their nests, and hope to see the hatch in about two weeks. Thanks for keeping me exciting to see them again.
