A new lifer for me, and only 10 minutes from my house. Here's one of hundreds taken in the past week or so. Taken a little after sunrise. The sun was to my right so I tried to get the best angle I could, and settled on this vertical crop. Comments/suggestions always welcome. Cheers.

Pretty image, I like the angle of the head with the angle of the light. Could do with a little anti-clockwise rotation to line up the reflection.

Nice reflection and side-lit face and head angle. I'd clean up the speck at the bottom edge of the frame.

Hi Greg. Thanks for the feedback. Not sure about the suggested rotation? looks fine to me.
Sanjeev. Well spotted...that's one I missed! Cheers.

Paul. since the water is flat the reflection of the eye (or other feature) should be directly below the original in the image. It is only off by -2.5 degrees, but noticeable with such a clear reflection.

I agree with he rotation. If you draw a straight line from bill tip to bill tip you will notice that line is not perfect vertical. It's an easy fix with the ruler tool and then "rotate arbitrary" (in PS). Other than that, pretty sweet reflection image. It's always satisfying photographing a new species!

Like the look on this bird. The wet fluffed up feathers are pretty cool. The reflection is nice as well.
