Garganey at Sunset

I experimented with composition and sunset light in this shot. Shot against light, refrained from creating a silhouette of the subject as I wanted to keep the details of the subject as well.
Eagerly waiting for your comments on the matter/ shot.

Nikon D4S, Nikon 500 F4 FL, 1.4XTCIII; HH from boat.
Exposure Time -1/1250 seconds, F Number – 6.30, ISO Speed Ratings - 800

I appreciate all the critiques. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR VIEWING & INPUTS.

Totally works for me. Beautiful light, water and bird. TFS

Like the backlighting with some detail left on the bird. Greenery is nice, but I would clone out the two bits touching the head, and the two black dots under the bird. Great colors. TFS

Lovely light. Because this is not a silhouette the bird could be lightened to show more detail without losing the sunset effect. Agree on the bits of cloning suggested.

IMO if you crop away half of the empty space below you will then remove a good portion of the dark oof stuff in the lower left corner and with that make the image even more successful. Nice mood to the image!

This one has some mood to it. Like the way the duck is framed here. Great color in the water as well.

I am really grateful to for your inputs. This was an experimental shot. I overlooked some elements which were aptly pointed out by you all. I have to be more cautious.
Thanks again.
with warm regards,
