Image shot from car.

Bear River MBR looks good this year as they created wetlands close to the car loop. I will be making lots of trips to the refuge in coming weeks/months.

Nikon D500, 600 mm f/4 + 1.4x TCIII
1/2000 sec; f/5.6; ISO 1600
Manual; Matrix metering

Post Processing:-
Removed small dirt on the water
Raw Processing using C1P
Neat Image for NR
Detail Extractor 30-30 Filter
Cropping - I did not level the camera when I shot from car ( I always miss that point)
Sharpening for Presentation.

Let me know your thoughts and comments.

Thanks
Krishna

Beautiful elegant image, just a tad bright for my taste, but beautiful pose and I love that confusing hint of detail within the bill tip.

Gorgeous image. Great pose with good action. I like the hint of early morning (?) color ripples in the water.

What's left to say. You really nailed it. The brightness looks spot on on my monitor. TFS

Hi Bill,

This image was taken in evening time, not early morning.

Very nice....i really like the pose, beautiful colours throughout, and yes the BG is a wee bit too bright for me to.

This is the best image I have viewed of yours I think.
Very well done.

Love the brightness on this one. The prey item with the trailing water is very neat. High key works very well here.

Krishna:

Nice pose, action, water.

I do think it is too bright, at least for my tastes. I have attached a copy with a 51% multiply layer applied. Of course can season to taste, but it looks less washed out to me with that little tweak.

Cheers

Randy

Thank you Randy.

I did not want to make the image look too much blue and hence the choice of post processing.

I like both images.

Krishna:

I absolutely respect your artistic choices. It would be easy to darken he bird a bit, while leaving the background your preferred lighter color.

Thanks for posting this one.

Cheers
