Perfect title and image. Would love to see a vertical as well. TFS

I like the concept here Dan, but feel a tad off the foot may be better? Certainly these subjects are providing a great deal of opportunities.

Dan:

A striking image, great sense of action, well exposed.

Because of the direction of flight, I would give a bit more space above, and trim a sliver from below .

She is very sharp, almost too sharp for a hen. Rather like a wax wing, where they really are quite softly textured. But, a lot easier to go less sharp than sharper! Personal taste really.

Cheers

Brilliant capture, well done to keep the head sharp. Maybe a little less space below the feet would work for me?

Pretty neat. Sharp where it matters. The pose is pretty nice. Also like the crop.

really nice up flight Dan, crop suggestions and a wee less sharpening will make this even better!

Dan, I really like this shot, right amount of wing blur to show action, excellent details and angle, not sure of the crop though maybe a 2x3 vertical with more room at the top.

Great frame well done, a little lower and a tad to the left for me.

Great job cathing this take-off Dan! The bird looks very sharp in the right places. I really like the droplets too!
I think the light wasn't in your favour here. It looks quite harsh and that makes the white wings stand out more than the head. I like that you have added so much room below to get a feel of the rapture but with that distinct brown line it makes it a little distracting too. Eitherway a nice try.

I agree with the comp advice (more above, less below), but I love the pose! I usually prefer more frontal lighting, but here the directional light adds to the drama quite nicely. Great title too.
