Coral flowers provide a lot of nectars to the avifauna, insects and arborial mammals here in the Himalayan foot hill forest during late winter, here is one in the early morning light, back drop is the opposite hill forest having green and dry foliages.
Nikon 850,850mm,f6.3,1/800s,ISO 1000.
Thanks for looking,comments welcome.

A beautiful image, I am a little concerned over the image quality. Was the image initially underexposed, it looks rather heavy - or maybe it was a large crop?
I think it would be worthwhile having another look at the processing including noise reduction and possibly reducing the crop slightly.

It's looking ok here Jon...Fabulous BG which shows the bird well. Lovely detail on the bird and an impressive tail. The reds are nice, not too bright as to distract from the bird. Love the thin crest.

Neat looking bird. Never heard of one. Love that tail. The bottom of the perch looks sharper than the bird.

Interesting bird, nice colors but to me it seems the downward stem of the perch is in much better focus than the birds head and beak.
Maybe a bit of selective sharpening would help.
