Spot Tool Problems,in Photo shop.

When using the spot tool it paints black,doesn't stay black . But the tool isn't working correctly doesn't remove the spot . If you apply several times it may work or not inconsistence.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Kevin. There are few things i think will cause the issue you are having . First is make sure you are on the correct layer and there is nothing selected (no marching ants) Ctrl+D to deselect anything. next thing is make sure you have the correct mode selected . normal usually works best most of the time and select content aware .
This might not fix your problem , but these are a few things i have run into that had me scratching my head.

Thanks Stuart for the suggestions. It seems to be working fine. I think the black was added in a update.It allows you to see the brush settings better.I panicked when I first saw the black brush.
