Still going through old files as my shoulder hasn't properly healed as yet. Another Red Grouse from Christmas Eve last year, at my favourite Glen.

Nice look down pose... I think you could lower the exposure a bit on this one,
a bit bright.

Killer grouse portrait. The light is nice. Really like the pose on this one.

Will:

really nice pose, background, rock, colors.

Agree about lowering the exposure just a bit.

I might do a bit more sharpening on the bird, esp. the face.

Is this much of a crop?

Cheers

Lovely shot Will, I suspect a little luminosity adjustment at raw will show the "eye brows" and the lores with more detail. Good to get such a clear unobstructed view.

Really nice frame of a great bird. Agree about the exposure drop. Bird is pretty tight in the frame if you have a bit more around him.

Great portrait in beautiful warm light. I agree with a little bit more sharpness on the head. I like the second post more.

Hi Randy...It was cropped from a horizontal...I'll have a look at changing the crop, see how it looks...Good to see you again.

Excellent image.

I like the light and the background colors. I would sharpen the eye a little more.

I like how we can see the feet.

Thanks
