Isaac posted a lovely image of the male Lesser Scaup. Viewing his image reminded me of this image of a female. I posted it so viewers could see both sexes. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like the eye contact, smooth ripples and water and composition. I would remove the white line in the reflection of the bill. Nice image Joe.

she's quite pretty Joe, love all the colors and a bit of the green sheen on her head. Only wish for a lower POV.

Nice light and I like the water color. It is basically impossible in most of Florida to get these birds at eye level because of shooting from raised road ways or fear of alligators so I am fine with the shooting angle as presented because of the conditions. I would lower the yellows on the bird a bit and wish the birds head was turned just a touch more towards us.

Thanks Isaac, most who visit here never think of alligators. Other things can be nasty also, fire ants, poisonous snakes, scorpions etc. much different here than up north. Also ocean and brackish waters are not excluded, Vibro vulnificus. A bacteria that is in warm ocean water and can cause a nasty infection to those with open wounds or a weak immune system.
