Many thanks for the tips on the shots of the great gray.

I thought I'd post some of the different shots I took that morning; it was sunrise so I cooled the images a bit, did some more work with PhotoShop RAW and Neat Image per the recommendation.

All were shot on a tripod with the Canon 7DII and 800 lens combo.

The first is 1/1000, f 5.6, ISO 2500
The second is after heavy clone stamp and healing brush work. Same Settings.
The third in the snow is 1/1000, f f.5, ISO 1250
The fourth is 1/1000, ISO 800, f 5.6 of the owl landing on a tree.
The fifth is another landing shot at 1/1250, f. 6.3, ISO 4000

Thanks for any feedback here. Of course even on the Photo page on FB it's a lot of nice words, but I'd like to use one of these possibly for our state fair competition, and will be using some for a salon coming up.

For what it's worth I'm not a PS expert - I can do basic edits, use the sharpener on the eyes, adjust levels in RAW, etc. Just downloaded the processing book and 7DII guide, hopefully that helps without making my head spin.

Thanks,
Paul

The second one is the best. Thats some impressive photoshop work. They all look pretty noisey.
