Good intimate shot, I would be inclined to check out the dark plumage and the eye, both are rather dense and show very little detail. the colours on the robin look really good - do the white feathers on the breast disappear once adult?

Interesting image of the Immature American Robin.
Image quality is not so great when I am viewing on my big screen. I like the low point of view.
Was this cropped ?
wish you had more depth of field on the bird as well.

Yes it is a crop but not that big.
The IQ is good to me, I have no idea what you are seeing?
It would be about impossible to get more DOF on the bird at this angle.

I'm OK with the dof field, the face is sharp and that is what matters to me (excpet for tight portraits then I like to stop down more). Quite sharp, and great low angle. I also like the dirty bill, which hints at this individual digging for juicy worms.
Hey Jon, yes, the white feathers on the chest disappear to a beautiful solid orange.
