This is a sister image to the African Fish Eagle I posted two weeks ago, taken at Sunset Dam at Lower Sabi restcamp in the Kruger National Park. I tried to incorporate some of the good advice I was given on the previous image by lightening the exposure and working on the background noise. About 50% crop. I righted the horizon, added canvas to the top and fixed a clipped primary tip. The -2/3 exposure compensation was to protect the whites. Comments and suggestions always welcome:S3:

You could have a better near wing position but the light is superb and the processing looks good....

Nice and sharp with a neat two toned background. If the near wing was down you would have a great dorsal view.

Technically perfect as expected but the near-wing position was bad luck.

Hi Chris. For me this one is not as good as the other one. The lower wing position is not as good and also the dark horizon line running through the face is not ideal. On top of that I see the same issue that I pointed out the last time. Refer to the last instructions but here is a quick rework that I think points this in the right direction. Also quickly cloned out the dark intersecting line. Used the clone tool at 50% opacity and used the lighter color above the line as the source. Did not make a perfect selection or anything so ignore that part. I also ran some extra NR on background to smooth it out a bit more.
