I captured this image at Ft. Desoto County Park in Pinellas County, Florida. It takes a lot of effort for these big birds to get airborne from the water. The feet are pushing and the wings are flapping as the bird runs across the water. Wonderful to watch. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Very nice head on approach. Like the splashing water. This would maybe make a nice pano crop.
