Living about a mile from Regents Park, we have a 'siege' of Herons floating about, nesting on the island and surrounding trees, then just feeding in the canal and waterway.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Looking good Steve, I really like the dark BG which shows the nice detail on the bird real well. Love the crouched pose and feather detail. Looking at the well used bill, it looks like an elderly bird.

Nice one

Looking good with nice detail and i like the dark background. The feathers on the tip of the bill are nice.

I don't see anything I would change, just like how you taught me how to post process. Wonderful feather detail, the dark background works well. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

Thanks folks much appreciated.

No tricks Joe, it's all in the capture, but it looks like you are nailing stuff too.

Well done on the techs with a nice BKGR but it looks as if somebody whacked him just above the base of the bill with a hammer.

with love, arite

Beautiful detail and perfect HA, Steve. Killer BG. Love the way the subject fills the frame. Well exposed, great colours, looks like he was preening he still has a few tiny feathers at the end of his beak:w3

Warmest regards,
