John, I really like the image but Steve has said exactly what I was going to say, the stump is a little high - can you raise your camera or lower the stump, it would make an enormous difference.

Agree with all the above comments re: POV, and I'd love to see a better head angle, with the bird's head facing slightly more toward the viewer. Beautiful shot!
