Very nice against that dark backdrop. Nice pose and exposure. I think I would clone out that small white fleck on the shoulder. Never been able to get close to one of these guys. TFS

Arash I have to disagree with you, I think this is something special!! The black on black is unusual and the presentation looks pretty much bang on to me, I keep looking at that bill, you have wonderful detail there, the plumage is excellent and I really like the hint of green in the water. It's a belter!!

I love dark BGs like this where the bird can stand out. If they're anything like our Grebes, not easy to get up close to either. I do agree that the reflected head doesn't add a great deal, so for me Id lower the bird in the frame

Either the whole head reflection or just the neck. Love the look and the SH and the perfect EXP. Methinks that this is an adult.
