Looks like a flycatcher of some sort maybe? Young bird most likely, juvie King bird? Fairly substantial crop, sneaked best I could:)

i understand that sibley's sells a nice guide that might help you:D i've been told before not to try to guess. that i'm not a good bird id'er. hmmmm, wonder who that person was!! nice shot by the way. perch is way too overpowering for the size of the bird!! but the bird looks good!:D

Mr H I already have the Sibley book:p and yes the post overpowers the bird;)

Dan, E. Phoebe was on the list of possibles, just not something I've seen much around here.

Looks like an Eastern Phoebe to me as well, although it's been a while since I looked at Ohio birds. Nice sharp image, good bg, perfect exposure on a black & white bird. Well done. Agree about the perch.

Cool and thanks for the ID!!! We have them here just don't usually see one sitting out in the open like that and if they are its only for a second so I've never had a very good look at one.

Bugger - I thought it was a Eastern Stump Muncher (By the looks of the side of the perch) LOL :)

Bird looks awesome Nonda, but do have to agree with your friend mr. H about the perch. Excellent background.
