Well it's been a couple of years since I have pointed my camera at a Barn Owl or Short Eared Owl, but I managed both yesterday. Image taken late afternoon light probably 40 min before dusk. Its a big crop so the quality I want is not there but I have been incentivised to go back whenever there is some light.

I like the backlit wings. You might want to clean up the light splotches in the sky ...

with love, artie

Hi Jon, I like the light showing through the wings, with a good flight pose too. Great that he is against the OOF foliage BG, and agree to clean up the sky.

I love the light coming through the wings, barnies are one of the best birds for this type of light in my opinion. There is a bit more noise reduction that could be done in the green areas.

Is this up in Neston Jon?

Mike this is at Parkgate old baths. BIG tides next week worth a trip I would suggest.

Nice how the owl glows in that light. Small in the frame works pretty good here.
