Goldfinches

Hi all,

A male and (pretty sure) female goldfinch (if not, feel free to remove the theme tag), taken on a pretty dark day with on and off rain. At a feeder set up. NR in post, slight crop, cloned out some distracting bits in the BG,

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6E at 500mm
Specs: 1/200 f/5.6 ISO 2,500

Looks pretty good over all Alex. Nice poses on both birds and I like the perch and BG. I would take more off the top and go for more of a 16X9. Well done

Lovely set up here.
Great lookback pose on both birds.
Always exciting to get 2 birds tack sharp in the frame.You did well to get them sharp at such a low SS!
I would take a bit off the top.
I think that this is a non-breeding male on the right but I am not sure.

Lovely looking frame...The dark BG sure makes the birds look real good. Nice details on both birds and a great looking perch. Agree with David about taking some from the top. Good work.

Little late, but what a great capture, Alex. Overcast and rain is far too underestimated. Can't say enough about the quality of light and overall colors, including the perch and that lovely background. Well done.
