Hi Guys

This shed is a piece of local history and was made when the area was first cleared for farming. Not sure of its age. It is largely made of tree trunk uprights and covered in slabs of timber which still show axe marks, but unfortunately the only side in reasonable light when I was photographing it was the side where the slabs had been replaced with iron.. Termites (or white ants as we call them here) have devoured the slabs on this side and are well into finishing off the remainder of the structure.. My plan is to revisit in early morning light to try again while it still stands..

1DX & 18mm Ziess distagon with CPL sitting on my tripod.
1/13 sec @ F16, iso 400. Single frame cropped slightly in FG and from RHS.
processed in ACR using CS6.

I like the colors. Light near the Barn etc.

I also like the streak of clouds. Nice Diagonal lines etc.

Nice shot Don, a very Australian scene which I come across many times in the course of my work, and have large collection of shots. It is fascinating to roam around inside these old places and imagine the people and their hopes and dreams. A hard life I would say.

Its important to capture these structures that were built so long ago form an historical sense. I try to do the same when I encounter them too. Nice lighting on this scene Don...well done!
