I made this image in Bosque Del Apache NM 12/23/2018.

I always wanted to make image of landing

After 3 trips I finally got lucky and made this image. I am so happy for the same.


Nikon D500, 500 f/4 + 1.4x TCIII
1/3200 sec; f/5.6; ISO 400
Manual; Matrix metering


Cloned out distracting element in Bottom right corner.
C1P for Raw Processing
Neat Image for Noise Reduction
Nik Filters
Small Crop from Top for Presentation.

Super cool frame Krishna. Love the symmetry and the poses. Great background as well. I think the shot needs a bit more contrast as on my screen it looks a bit flat. White and black birds against a brown background should pop out more.

Always wonderful to see 2 birds tack sharp in the same frame. The water droplets are nice as well. You have a great BG.
I think the light was a bit harsh and that makes for a flat image.
I would add a bit of saturation to the image as well as a bit of contrast,

Nice matching poses on the birds. Background is nice. Details look good as well.

I love shots like this, with the mirror image between the 2 birds. The RP is a subtle but worth improvement

Two great and synchronous poses and you were right on sun angle but the shadows ruin it for me. You need to catch them both with the wings swept back or on a cloudy day ...
