Female Ruddy Duck

I am this image in Bosque Del Apache NM.

She was always there every evening at the same place, near Main pond.

I wish I could see the feet as well. But as soon I get up a little, she was started moving away so I settled for this image.

Nikon D500, 500 f/4 +1.4x TCIII
1/2000 sec; f/5.6; ISO 800
Manual; Matrix metering

Post Processing:- Square Crop (as I short this Horizontally ) , Noise Reduction. Removed second catchlight in the eye.

nice Krishna, I wish we could see the feet though. not a big fan of square crops, I think 2:# vert works better

Hi Krishna, lovely eye level perspective here, and I like the overall detail on this duck. I do like the clean pastel water BG too. Another vote for wishing to see the feet.

Well captured. The duck looks alert and well aware of you. Nice background. Not too keen on the foreground but it is what it is. Exposure on the whites well handled.

Good for you Krishna, she's such a lil hesitant duck. I saw her but I wasn't able to charm her to come in any closer! Nice details, and i like her HA as well.

Good self critique as the bird rocks but the lack of feet and the dried crusty earth are not flattering. You did the best that you could.
