American Goldfinch

I made this image in St George Trip. This was taken in wild, no setup etc.

After photographing Ducks I was heading out to the Car when I saw Finches foraging in these trees. I set up my self with sun behind me and tried to frame decent composition.

I choose square crop remove the distracting branches.

Bird is sharp, but the OOF stuff in the foreground is really distracting. The branches overpower the subject in this frame.

Light is very bright and the OOF foliage is distracting.

I see what you were going for here. The Bird is nicely position in the frame. I don't mind the out of focus foreground.
