Hi Guys..

Been some time since I have posted. I have bought an old medium format Mamiya RZ67 camera with a 16MP digital back (DB) a little while ago. I used this to create this image. I love using it but its difficult to find enough coal to keep it running.. The digital back is so old (its a CCD not COMOS sensor) that I need to carry a laptop around (with firewire port, its also old...) to run it as a tethered setup using Capture 1. DB has no power or memory on board...

This is s 3 image stitch taken at a Perth Beach one evening. Not sure of settings used (camera does not report setting to DB.. No electronics inside) but it would have been 50 ISO (only got 50 and 100 to choose from) at about 1/2 second at F32 possibly. lens was possibly 140mm (70mm equiv in 35mm format). Conversion to TIFF via Capture one, stitched in CS6.

Reward for effort I's say. A lovely shot. Is that an old wreck or just odd looking rocks?

Nice captured Don! I would not have had the patience :S3: I would evict that piece of beach debris that is touching the bottom edge.

Thanks Andrew, well spotted.. patience is what the Mamiya forces on you for sure. Also have to think about your image design before you setup because its difficult to shift.. But once you looking that big viewfinder.. Ahhh.. its another world....

regards for Christmas..
