I captured this image at the rookery in the alligator breeding pond in Gatorland, Orlando, Florida. I know that the dappled light is not ideal but I like the intimacy of the image and the trust by the bird of allowing me to be close. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I really like this image. The dabbled light doesn't bother me. The beak, eye and front of the face are exposed well enough for me.

Sharp on the eye for sure. The dappled light does not bother me, it kills me :) As presented the shaded WHITEs are grey ... Still to shade or sun :)

I agree with you about the dappled light, but I too like the intimacy of the setting.

You did very well with what you had to work with. Nice and sharp. I don't mind the environment here.
