Crazy Colors at Bosque

I made this image at Bosque Del Apache NM last year.

I am excited and I am heading back there in Year end again this year.

I like the sky colors a lot. I wish I had more birds flying in the sky but I will take this one over no birds... :-)

Nikon D500 24-120 f/4 at 82 mm (123mm at Full Frame)
ISO 640, f/11, 1/160 sec
Shutter Priority, Matrix Metering


Post Processing:-
C1P and Photoshop CS6, Neat Image for Noise Reduction, Nik 30-30 Filter applied selectively.
Cropped in from the top and add a bit of canvas at the bottom.

Good luck with birds in a place that is managed for fewer birds and is managed specifically against bird photographers. That despite the fact that Snow Goose populations continue to explode. Nice sky. When Phil Norton was managing the place you would like had 10,000 geese swirling around in that color more times than not.
