Great view of the eyes, it would be better if the end of the beak were also visible. Still, an interesting image.

Yuppers. # inches higher would have done the trick :) Otherwise quite lovely.

ps: Or, one inch to your right would have likely shown the bill ...

I like the image design and concept- as others have said too bad you did not get the beak clear.
I would warm up the image and clone out or burn the white stalks on the RHS of the BO.

As always, thanks for the learnings. I knew I was not getting full face clear, so I went for the big yellow eyes. One inch up is the rope they cordon off the nests with to protect them from us humans. And one inch right is one of the stakes holding the ropes. In addition there was one rope in foreground and one in background. My 62 year old neck starts to hurt again just thinking of the 15 minutes I laid on my sizable belly with neck twisted to get my eyes to the viewfinder here. I'm taking Aleve before going out next time. LOL Great points though.

Ditto the suggestions, but I love the concept and the sharp eyes.

Those eyes are mesmerising. Love the muted green background. Missing beak already covered. TFS.

Big props for obeying respecting the ropes! Shot looks good, and I echo the suggestions above, particularly Gail's about warming the image a bit.

Love those eyes staring through the grass. Really like this one with the owl small in the frame.

Hi David, excellent eye level angle, and captured perfectly in his enviroment. Another vote for warming the image.

Very nice...I like the POV and the different shades of grasses. Love the eyes.
